Miller Point Peace Park 13941 Nova Scotia Trunk 3, Dayspring, NS B4V 5P6 If you’re down around Bridgewater and need a stretch of the legs, I suggest Miller Peace Park, just 5 minutes outside the town. off highway #3. We recently revisited the park after a number of years and found there have been some great improvements. It’s a lovely easy 3k meandering stroll along the Lahave River with outdoor washrooms, picnic tables ,benches throughout and lots of parking. The trails are very well maintained. Strolling Kentville Ravine
Situated in the eastern end of the Annapolis Valley with the North Mountain as a backdrop , is the town of Kentville. It’s location was chosen for the Cornwallis River which meanders though the town. Kentville is proud of its recreational facilities-outdoor pool, arena, soccer and baseballs fields and more. All these are meticulously looked after. I go there for the trails,mostly. Hiking the 9 Mile River Trail System
Honest to gawd, who can keep up with the burgeoning number of trails in Nova Scotia? We are so lucky to have so many, but I had never heard of the 9 Mile River trail until my friend invited me to try it out. This volunteer maintained trail (thank you folks!) consists of 3 loops with a couple more to come. Nova Scotia has had a wild winter with lots of rain and ice.
