Kayaking with Novashores Adventures
Kayaking with Novashores Adventures has been on my Bucket List for quite some time. Recently I had a chance to check that off my list-I booked my husband and myself on the 6 hour Three Sisters Day Tour, one of the group of sea stacks nestled along the shore of Cape Chignecto on the Bay of Fundy. Located within the waters of Cape Chignecto Provincial Park, the Three Sisters sea stacks are one of the Bay of Fundy’s main kayaking attractions. Local Mi’kmaw legends say they’re three sisters turned to stone. That was only one of the great stories our guide shared with us on this trip. There was lots…

An Evening Paddle with East Coast Outfitters
I can never get enough kayak paddling in. Stuff like work gets in the way. However, I did grab an opportunity to take my two daughters -in-law and head out for the Ladies Night Paddle with East Coast Outfitters recently. I love a leisurely paddle where I can take a moment to see, hear and smell what’s around me on the water. This is the ambiance I want others to experience in any outdoor venue-woods, water, whatever. Although this paddle started off as a…

Exploring the Coastline with East Coast Outfitters
Kayaking is one of my favorite things to do, and I do as much as I can-mostly lakes and rivers. My opportunity to experience kayaking in the Atlantic came with a trip to East Coast Outfitters in Lower Prospect. It was my opportunity because I grabbed a deal off Groupon. Was it worth it? Most assuredly so. East Coast Outfitters staff were helpful and our guide was knowledgeable-we learned so much about the area’s history and geography. All guides are certified by Paddle Canada and trained in Wilderness First Aid. We received a short course of instruction in the fine art of sea kayaking-a good thing because I was NOT …
